Frequently Asked Questions

Won’t it block the air to my radiator and make my bike overheat?

No, it will only block the excessive air to your radiator; your radiator will still get the air it needs and your bike will not overheat.

I have a ram air intake above my radiator; won’t the fender block that?

Yes, the fender will stop a ram air effect on certain intake arrangements; the increases in speed and confidence the Ryno fender offers will offset the lost of a slight horsepower increase.

Can a new front fender really make a difference?

Yes, motorcycle aerodynamics hasn’t changed much over the last 40 years. A new approach can make big differences

My track doesn’t have any fast straight-aways; will I still notice a difference?

Yes, I have had riders notice reductions in turbulence at speeds as low as 60 mph.

I only ride on the street; does the fender still help?

Yes, the main benefit on the expressway is reduced turbulence. This means long rides are less fatiguing and quieter. The reduction in drag will also increase your fuel mileage. An added benefit is the protection the Ryno fender offers to your radiator from rocks and bugs.

Is it legal in my racing class?

Probably, the fender is legal in most classes. All CCS classes allow the fender. All F-USA classes except “Sportbike” allow the fender. AMA GP and Formula Extreme allow the fender. Consulting the local rulebook is always the best answer.
